Natural Beauty Recipes & Tips


Lemon-Sugar Face & Body Scrub
Ingredients:
2 to 4 tablespoons of lemon juice                                                                                                             
1/4 cup of sugar (white or brown)
1/4 to 1/2 cup of your favorite carrier oil ( sesame, olive, sweet almond, etc.) or water(depending on desired consistency)                                                          
(1) bowel or container
Place sugar in a bowel or container and add lemon juice. Add water and mix together ( for a thinner mixture use more water; for a thicker mixture use less water).
Apply to damp skin using upward motion. If applying to the face use gentle care around the eye area. Once dry, rinse off and pat the skin dry using a towel.
*For sensitive or dry skin use less lemon juice.
*Use brown sugar for a softer scrub
*You can substitute water for your favorite body oil (shea butter, olive oil, sweet almond oil, etc.)

Colloidal Oatmeal
Colloidal oatmeal (ground oats) is great for softer and smoother skin. It is excellent for dry skin. Mix this with your choice of water, milk, or honey and apply to your face, being careful around the eye area. Wait 5 to 10 minutes before rinsing off and pat dry. 

Natural Makeup Remover
Use olive oil to remove your makeup. Apply the olive oil liberally to your skin and take a warm, damp face towel to gently remove your makeup. This is also effective in cleansing your skin, while moisturizing at the same time.
*Use organic olive oil, if possible, or regular extra-virgin olive oil

Facial Moisturizer
You can use any one of these oils to naturally moisturize your skin. You only need to apply a small amount.
Sweet Almond Oil                                  Coconut Oil                                           Jojoba Oil
Olive Oil (extra-virgin)
