I enjoy baking as much as possible, even though it definitely takes time, effort, and persistence. I wanted to try something festive, and voila!
Rest assured, you will not get drunk from eating a few; you barely taste the tequila, which is an essential ingredient in this recipe. The cheaper the tequila, the better.
These cupcakes have a nice lemon-lime taste, with a tequila frosting, sprinkled with coarse sea salt. Basically, you will have a very refreshing balance of sweetness with a hint of salty flavor.
I've included a video showing how to make these, which helped me tremendously. The chef -Alina Eisenhauser of Sweet (an upscale pastry shop and dessert bar located in Worcestor, MA) - is great at making this recipe easy to follow.
